Unique offering designed to reshape the global trade industry

Sydney-based technology firm Xchainge has launched a Business Advisory arm to help businesses access alternative financial services, products and providers underpinned by sustainability principles. The new offering has enhanced Xchainge’s business model which targets Australian mid-market, privately owned enterprises that seek sustainable trade services.

Xchainge launched its beta platform in January 2021 and has already signed 25 partnership contracts with Lenders, Payment Service Providers and Finance Brokers to help a variety of businesses in Australia and New Zealand.

Co-founder, James Cronan, said “The key focus of the Business Advisory Services team will be to leverage our experience in Foreign Exchange, Trade Finance and ESG in Global Markets. This is a unique offering to take to market, and we believe will provide businesses a holistic solution, improving both financial, and non-finance performance.”

“There are multiple friction points across the supply chains of Medium and Large businesses that cause headaches for business owners and Finance teams”, said Stu Hallows, COO of Xchainge.

“Since our launch we’ve realised that the market needs a more hands-on approach to solving complex financial problems. Whilst technology remains at the heart of the Xchainge proposition, our experience across ESG, operations and compliance means customers and financial partners have been seeking our advice on these matters from day-one. This has helped us to develop a unique consulting approach, focused on delivering ongoing and sustainable support to them”.

Formerly a member of the Xchainge Advisory Group, Hallows joined as COO in November 2020, bringing over 20 years of executive experience in global payments and compliance. He joins co-founders Cronan and Eoin Tarleton, a highly experienced executive consultant in financial services and banking who is also Xchainge’s Managing Director.

“With Stu on board, we are committed to providing strategic and commercially-focused solutions, helping our clients and partners expand, whilst having a comprehensive compliance offering. We are very excited to take this to the broader Australian market over the coming years – we’ve had significant traction in the market already, and will now focus on streamlining client operations and sourcing alternative financial solutions”, Eoin said.
